2025-2026 Catalog

CHC’s curriculum is designed to align with the natural developmental stages of childhood. In the early grades, CHC nurtures children’s inherent love for learning and encourages independent study skills. As students grow older, the curriculum “ramps up” to meet their greater intellectual capacity and longer attention spans. Your Child’s Educational Journey with CHC

Ready for Anything! Grades 9 to 12

Students who graduate from CHC’s K–8 curriculum will be prepared for any path in high school. We recommend using High School of Your Dreams Guidebook (pg. 18) to design a unique high school program that will help your student discern and prepare for his career goals. Your student will also be prepared to transition to a brick-and-mortar school or another homeschool curriculum for high school.

Ramping Up Grades 5 to 8 In middle school, CHC’s curriculum becomes progressively more challenging to match the greater intellectual capacity of older students. Students who have begun with a “gentle” curriculum typically excel at a challenging curriculum in later grades because they have not experienced burnout in their early years.

Building Independent Study Skills Grades 2 to 4 Grades 2 to 4 focus on developing independent study skills. These will be important throughout the student’s life. Some of the skills taught include encyclopedia research, writing a report, and using Independent Study Charts for time management.

Learning to Read Grades Pre-K to 1

Once your child learns to read, a whole new world of knowledge opens up for him. There is nothing so fulfilling as teaching your own child to read, and with CHC’s Little Stories for Little Folks (see pgs. 20-23), the process is quite simple.
