Ready for Anything! Grades 9 to 12
Students who graduate from CHC’s K–8 curriculum will be prepared for any path in high school. We recommend using High School of Your Dreams Guidebook (pg. 18) to design a unique high school program that will help your student discern and prepare for his career goals. Your student will also be prepared to transition to a brick-and-mortar school or another homeschool curriculum for high school.
Ramping Up Grades 5 to 8
In middle school, CHC’s curriculum becomes progressively more challenging to meet students’ expanding intellec tual abilities. Subjects deepen, critical thinking is cultivated, and students move forward with confidence because they still love to learn. Independence and motivation become powerful tools for success.
Building Independent Study Skills Grades 2 to 4 Grades 2 to 4 focus on developing independent study skills. These will be important throughout the student’s life. Some of the skills taught include encyclopedia research, writing a report, and using Independent Study Charts for time management.
Learning to Read Grades Pre-K to 1
In the early years, children are learning to read, but they’re also learning how to learn . CHC keeps academics short and sweet in these grades, making space for the emotional growth that happens through play and small daily challenges.
